Questions.

Answered.

What does CApex do?+

CApex automates the tedious, mechanical part of ledger scrutiny before an audit begins. Upload a client's trial balance and it runs deterministic checks, correct debit/credit classification, balance sheet continuity across years, physical-impossibility checks like negative cash, unresolved suspense balances, and surfaces every exception in one reviewable queue instead of a CA manually scanning the whole trial balance line by line.

Does it replace audit judgement?+

No. CApex flags what needs a human's attention, it never decides whether something is actually wrong. Every finding sits in a review queue where the auditor investigates, clears it, or flags it for follow-up with their own notes attached. The judgement stays entirely with the CA; CApex just makes sure nothing gets missed in a wall of numbers.

Which Tally exports can I use?+

A Trial Balance or Day Book export in XML format, from Gateway of Tally → Display More Reports → Trial Balance → Alt+E → export as XML. We also support a standard trial balance spreadsheet (XLSX) for clients on other systems.

Can I retain my review notes?+

Yes. Every exception's status and your notes persist even if you re-run scrutiny after correcting the underlying data; nothing you've already reviewed gets wiped or has to be redone.

Does CApex handle GST or TDS reconciliation?+

Not in the current version. Today's scope is trial balance scrutiny, correct classification, continuity, and balance integrity. GST/TDS portal reconciliation and vouching are on the roadmap as the next layer.
